Find the pages Google almost ranks — and move them up
Squad finds pages Google already shows on page two, drafts rewrites in WordPress, Webflow or Wix for you to publish, and measures clicks from Search Console.
In short
- Pages that sit on Google's second page already look relevant to Google, so a focused rewrite is often a cheaper win than new content.
- Squad's SEO Specialist builds the shortlist from Search Console and GA4, proposes rewrites, and saves them as drafts in WordPress, Webflow or Wix.
- You publish the drafts; success is measured in clicks read from Search Console, and the receipt lists every draft that was created.
Squad’s SEO Specialist finds pages Google already shows for real searches — but on page two, where few people click — and proposes rewrites for them. The rewrites are saved as drafts in your WordPress, Webflow or Wix site, you publish them, and the result is measured in clicks read from Google Search Console.
Why start with pages on page two?
A page that sits in positions 11 to 20 for a query has already convinced Google it is relevant. What it usually needs is a clearer answer near the top, a better title, or a section that covers what searchers actually came for. It doesn’t need a new website or a hundred new articles.
These pages are often the cheapest search wins a small business has, and they are easy to miss: most people never look past the first page of their own report.
What do you need before you start?
- Google Search Console for your domain. Squad reads queries, impressions, clicks and average positions.
- Google Analytics (GA4), if you have it, so Squad can see which pages already lead to sign-ups, orders or bookings.
- Your site on WordPress, Webflow or Wix, if you want rewrites saved as drafts. On any other platform, Squad gives you the rewritten text to paste in yourself.
How does it work, step by step?
- Connect Search Console and GA4. Both connections are read-only.
- Set the measured outcome. Clicks from Google search, read from Search Console, with a target and a window of 30 to 90 days. Search moves slowly; the longer window is usually the honest one.
- Get the shortlist. Squad looks for queries where your pages rank on page two with meaningful impressions, then checks them against GA4 so pages that already bring in business come first. Every page on the list comes with the reason it’s there.
- Review the proposed rewrites. For each page the SEO Specialist says what to change and why: the title, the opening answer, a missing section, links from your other pages. A Copywriter or Editor may tighten the text. You approve, edit or reject each one.
- Approved rewrites become drafts. Connected systems are read-only by default, so saving drafts needs a write grant you give once. Nothing goes live until you press publish in your own CMS.
- Watch the number. Squad reads clicks from Search Console for the pages you changed and for the site as a whole, and compares them to your target.
What stays in your hands?
Publishing, first of all. Squad writes drafts; you decide what goes live and when.
You also decide which pages are off-limits — your legal pages, a page you just redesigned, a landing page your ads depend on. Say so at the kickoff and it becomes a confirmed rule the team works within.
How do you know it worked?
Two things tell you.
The receipt. The report lists every draft that was created, in which system, with that system’s confirmation. If a draft couldn’t be saved, it is marked “needs your check”, not “done”.
The number. Clicks, read from Search Console, against your target. Rankings move from week to week, so look at the trend across the window rather than any single day.
If clicks don’t move after a fair amount of time, Squad’s Adapt step looks at each initiative on its own: was the rewrite the wrong approach, or was something missing? A draft that is still sitting unpublished in WordPress is a common reason, and Squad will say so plainly rather than recommend more rewrites.
Where it stops
- No ranking promises. Google decides rankings. Squad works on what is in your control and reports what Search Console reads back.
- No publishing. It saves drafts. You publish.
- No mass-produced pages. This playbook works on pages you already have; it doesn’t flood your site with new pages to chase keywords.
- An honest stop when access is missing. If Search Console isn’t verified for your domain, or the CMS grant is missing, Squad tells you what it tried, what’s missing and the next step.

Questions
Will Squad publish changes to my website?
No. Rewrites are saved as drafts in your WordPress, Webflow or Wix site, and you publish them. Saving a draft needs a write grant you give once; the connection is read-only until then.
How long should the measurement window be?
Search results move slowly, so a window closer to 90 days is usually more honest than 30. You choose the window when you set the measured outcome.
My site isn't on WordPress, Webflow or Wix. Can I still use this?
Yes. Squad still builds the shortlist and writes the rewrites; it gives you the text as a guided step to paste into your site yourself.
